The JCC is excited about connecting the JCC Computer Graduates with MailPals and E-Clubs. Once one of our Graduates learns how to use the Internet and
the E-Mail systems, that Graduate can be paired with a MailPal who shares
similar interests. The MailPals will eventually be linked into E-Clubs that
will meet once a month to discuss Club activities, membership and creative
new computer classes that might help to improve the level of participation
and enjoyment of the Club members.
The E-Clubs are so flexible, that any interest can find expression within a
Club: cooking/recipes, travel, even shopping can become a group activity by
looking for the best bargains and the lowest prices over the internet and
then sharing the information via the E-Mail.
These are just a few examples of the possibilities with the MailPal Program
and the power or the E-Clubs:
Games
 If you are interested in Games, we can arrange for you to be able to play
these games with your MailPal and to form an E-Club to join with other Gamers.
The JCC can help you to form Veterans Groups and History Clubs to play War
Games, (both historical and fictional, air, ground, sea, all levels, as
Generals and strategists or as actual pilots and soldiers). We can provide
an E-Club with Fantasy Football and Baseball Games as well so that you can
be a player or an owner. Bridge and other card or tile games may also be
formed into groups. Practically any type of game you would want to play can
be simulated on the computer and formed into an E-Club.
Entertainment
Tickets and reservations can either be ordered or reserved on line for
movies, concerts, plays, hotels, exhibits, and restaurants. Restaurant
menus, movie clips and reviews, and book reviews can be seen as soon as they
are posted; often times, sooner than they appear in the paper or on
television. You and your Club members can recommend restaurants, movies,
hotels and other recreational options to each other instead of relying on
outside sources for your informaiton.
News and Information
The latest and most varied news coverage is available as soon as it happens:
you have access to every news source in the world, 24 hours a day for
current events. You can compare share news stories with friends and family
as soon as it happens. You have the most current medical, economic, and
government information you need regarding Senior Issues such as Medicare,
Medicaid, Social Security, Drug Discounts and other information. With the
E-Club, you also have other people who share your situation and who will
help you to find the answers you need in this world of confusing re-tape and
conflicting news stories that we all face everyday.
Education
Torah, History, Science, Economics and other academic disciplines are
available to you for study and discussion without the need to return to
school to enjoy higher levels of education.
Finances
 Stock and Investment Clubs are some of the most popular E-Clubs that are
presently forming around the Nation at this time. You can play on paper, or
actually invest. You can get all of the current advice from all of the
financial shows by all of the popular analysts at any time of the day or
night.
Personal Interests
Art Groups can be formed to share new skills in Card and Stationary
production with the possibility of a side business for the E-Club members.
Learn how to make video documentaries to record family histories and special
events like anniversaries, birthdays, or to use as gifts for friends or
relatives.
The possibility for E-Club and MailPal activity is only limited by your own
imagination. Join one, join a few or join them all. Meet new people, expand
